Tudur Cottage & The Granary both provide the perfect country retreat for those wanting to get away from all the stresses and
strains of everyday life. At 1066ft they enjoy unrivalled views across 30 miles of stunning, unspoilt North Wales countryside, and although quiet and secluded are easily accessible from the
A5 the former London to Holyhead road.
Both have been renovated to a very high standard and are more like homes than holiday cottages; they are detached and completely separate from each other with their own private
gardens and parking spaces, they are also completely isolated from any road noise or neighbours. Many guests have told us that there are no photographs that
can do these two cottages justice, but don't just take our word for it see our visitors’ comments!

The cottages offer an ideal, centrally located base for exploring the SnowdoniaNational Park and the many other attractions North Wales has to offer; Chester, Llangollen, Ruthin, Harlech,
Snowdonia, Anglesey and Betws-y-Coed are all within easy reach (see location). There are beautiful walks from the doorstep
including a Bronzed Aged hill fort (one of the views from the bedroom windows), the Pilgrims Way and a whole network of short or long distance footpaths; you would be lucky to meet a
single person on these walks, it really is a quiet and secluded area.
The local town of Bala (15 minute drive) offers visitors countless activities such as white water rafting at the world renowned white water centre, swimming, fishing, sailing, wind-surfing, canoeing, riding
and mountain bike hire, as well as a narrow gauge lakeside steam railway (see things to do). The
town also provides for excellent shopping with two supermarkets and numerous smaller local shops; for those who don't fancy cooking on holiday it also has plenty of good eating places from
good restaurants, pubs, fish and chip shops to Chinese and pizza takeaways.

The local pub/restaurant The Goat, always has a good atmosphere and is less than a ten minute drive away, it is a very family friendly place and Mark the manager will always look after
you; the local garage/shop is also less than a ten minute drive away.
We have our own good sized lake now where you can swim, canoe or fish; there are 2 canoes and two kayaks on the lake with enough lifejackets for all, there is also a diving jetty where
the lake is at it's deepest - 12 foot! The lake is well stocked with trout and all guests are welcome to fish free of charge, all we ask
is that if you want to keep any fish you make a contribution to our restocking fund. The lake is one field away from the cottages and is well fenced off for safety.

We own the hillside behind both cottages and there are two lovely picnic areas and benches, you could spend all day up there with a lazy picnic or just an evening with a few glasses of
wine or a beer; with the view from the benches you could be in Scotland, The Lake District or any other spectacular part of Europe.
All in all I think the cottages have something to offer everyone, whether you just want to relax in the tranquil countryside or
something a bit more adventurous like mountain biking or white water rafting, it's all here. I can guarantee you would not be disappointed with either cottage or the area all are quite special.
Cheers
Linda
