Things to do at The Granary

There are a huge range of activities on offer at The Granary either on site or not too far away, from fishing, swimming, cycling, picnicking, kayaking, nature watching, photography and walking to the more ‘high adrenaline’ activities!

We can definitely recommend the pony trekking in Betws-y-Coed, mountain biking in Llandegla or white-water rafting in Bala, it just depends on how energetic you are feeling; if you just fancy a bit of walking there are some fantastic walks from the doorstep where you are unlikely to meet another soul for miles!

On site we have table tennis, a hot tub and sauna, our own lake for fishing, swimming or kayaking, a games room with dart board and pool table and now a five hole Frisbee Golf course. All onsite activities are only shared with Tudor Cottage, so you won’t exactly have to queue!

Our own lake is big enough to kayak on and we have two ‘sit on’ kayaks available complete with paddles and lifejackets for you to use. The lake is 12 foot at its deepest, so you can swim quite comfortably and there is a diving platform with a slide if you want a bit more fun down there. Our boys used to spend the whole summer there when they were home and I don’t think there is a nicer place to be when the sun shines – the only thing is you may be reluctant to leave once you arrive. We even have a log cabin down there if you just want to relax and read.

So that’s us! Bring your bikes, swimming costumes, binoculars, walking boots, fishing gear, books, beer, wine, factor 25 or whatever you need for the perfect holiday for you.
